Jonathan Develing is the Director of Strategy and Partnerships for Liverpool Heart and Chest NHS Foundation Trust.
In 1980 Jonathan started his NHS career in general and psychiatric nursing, before moving into strategic health management.
He has a considerable wealth of experience at both regional and national level in the NHS, having worked as Regional Director of Operations and Delivery for NHS England (North) and as Chief Officer at NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group, and more recently as Senior Responsible Officer for the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership Prevention workstream.
Passionate about patient care and quality of services, Jonathan’s NHS career has seen him responsible for developing quality specifications and care standards, and for the transition of specialised commissioning across the North region to NHS England.
In his new role at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, part of Jonathan’s focus will be on developing evidence-based prevention strategies to tackle areas such as cardiovascular disease, as well as partnerships that will help the adoption and spread of best practice, both regionally and nationally.
