Jason Dawson is a highly experienced clinical leader and chief operating officer. He has worked in a wide range of organisations in the hospital and health care industry with over 10 years at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust fulfilling various senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Director of Capital, Estates and Facilities. Jason also has executive experience within the private healthcare setting as a Chief Operating Officer at a very successful private hospital.
Jason has managed multiple strategic services and key capital developments and helped lead a cancer centre through the Coronavirus pandemic . Jason has led on several national programmes and was and responsible for overseeing the construction and cyclotron installation at the UK’s first high energy proton beam therapy unit at The Christie, on time and budget.
Jason also led on several strategic transformations in relation to the delivery of oncology services including the GM Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Strategies which established a network of services to ensure over 85% of patients to receive their treatment closer to home.
As well as being an experienced operational healthcare director Jason is also a qualified property and commercial professional (MRICS) and has an extensive background in capital delivery, programme and project management.
Prior to joining The Christie, Jason developed a passion for providing specialist consultancy services to the public and private sector including commercial, retail, rail, local government, and health organisations.
